How to Withdraw Funds from a TRC20 Wallet
Withdrawing from a TRC20 wallet means sending tokens from your TRC20 address to another address — whether that's an exchange account, another personal wallet, or a payment recipient. The process is straightforward, but a few critical checks can prevent costly mistakes.
Before You Withdraw: Requirements
- TRX for fees — On the TRON network, transaction fees are paid in TRX (TRON's native token). Make sure you have at least 10–20 TRX in your wallet before attempting to send USDT or other TRC20 tokens. Without TRX, the transaction will fail.
- Recipient address — Confirm the recipient's TRC20 address. It must start with "T". Never proceed with an "0x" address when using the TRC20 network.
- Network confirmation — Confirm the recipient (exchange or individual) supports TRC20 deposits.
Withdrawing from a Software Wallet (e.g., TronLink)
- Open your TronLink wallet and tap "Send".
- Select USDT (TRC20) as the token.
- Paste the recipient's TRC20 address. Visually verify the first and last 4 characters.
- Enter the amount to send.
- Review the estimated fee (shown in TRX).
- Tap "Confirm". If using 2FA or biometric authentication, complete that step.
- The transaction is broadcast to the TRON network. It should appear on the recipient side within 1 minute.
Withdrawing from a Centralized Exchange to a Personal Wallet
- Log in to your exchange account and go to Wallet → Withdraw.
- Select USDT as the currency.
- Choose TRC20 (TRON) as the withdrawal network.
- Paste your personal TRC20 wallet address (starts with "T").
- Enter the amount. Check the minimum withdrawal amount and the exchange's withdrawal fee.
- Complete any security verification (email code, 2FA).
- Submit the withdrawal. Exchange processing times vary from a few seconds to 30 minutes.
After the Withdrawal
Once sent, look up your TRC20 address on TronScan to verify the incoming transaction. You will see the transaction listed as "pending" briefly, then "confirmed" once the TRON network has processed it. Copy the TxID (transaction hash) for your records.
