How to Look Up a TRC20 Wallet Address
Every transaction on the TRON blockchain is publicly recorded and permanently visible. This transparency allows anyone to look up a TRC20 wallet address and see its full transaction history, current token balances, and more — without needing any special tools or accounts.
Using TronScan to Look Up an Address
TronScan (tronscan.org) is the official TRON block explorer and the primary tool for address lookups.
- Go to tronscan.org in your browser.
- Paste the TRC20 address into the search bar at the top of the page.
- Press Enter or click the search icon.
- The explorer will display the address overview, including TRX balance, token holdings (USDT, TRC10, TRC20), recent transactions, and more.
What You Can See in an Address Lookup
- TRX balance — the native TRON token balance
- Token balances — all TRC20 and TRC10 tokens held at this address
- Transaction history — every incoming and outgoing transfer, with timestamps
- Energy and bandwidth — TRON-specific resources used for fee-free transactions
- Contract interactions — if the address has interacted with any smart contracts
Why TRC20 Addresses Are Public
Blockchain networks are designed for transparency and auditability. Your address is public — meaning anyone can see its balance and transactions. However, your identity is not attached to the address unless you have voluntarily linked it (for example, by completing KYC on an exchange). This is why TRC20 addresses offer pseudonymity rather than full anonymity.
Tracking a Specific Transaction
After sending or receiving USDT on the TRC20 network, you will receive a transaction hash (TxID) — a unique identifier for that transaction. Paste this hash into TronScan's search bar to see the full details of the transaction, including its confirmation status, amount, sender, and recipient addresses.
